If you’re reading this, it’s not because I’m already dead ^^! You’re just spending time on my blog “Moe No Daiboken”, and thanks for doing that.
Let me introduce myself! I’m Mounir Bekkouche, a graduate in advertising from the Sorbonne (Paris - FRANCE), and let’s confess straight away: I’m a real “otaku”. Meaning I’m passionate about Japanese comic books, aka Manga. My personal library counts nearly 800 books, I often draw my own sketches, and I even wrote my first year dissertation on the subject 2 years ago… Freaky, isn’t it?
But more than just the “otaku” stuff; I’m actually looking for a job in advertising preferably in London (where I am currently living), although right now, the competition’s kind of tough (you know, worldwide crisis and all)! So I’ve decided to launch my own “advertainment” campaign as a way to “illustrate” my skills ^^.
All this has been possible thanks to my passion for Manga, the precious help of a few close relatives and my previous work experiences in internationally known companies

Anyway, welcome to “Moe No Daiboken”, the first covering Manga ever (as in covering letter ^^)! The title is Japanese for “Moe’s Quest”. It’s an initiatory story also known as a “Shônen” Manga (the genre made famous by titles such as DRAGON BALL or even NARUTO…). “Shônen” Manga always deal with an underestimated main character giving his best in order to reach his goal. And as you’ll notice “Moe No Daiboken” (aka MND) sticks to the codes:
- It’s in black and white (a detail more important than it seems ^^ ).
- It stars Moe, a charming underdog who has a dream soon to make a reality.
- It’s full of epic fights and magic (especially in season 2, coming soon), but still is, in case you were wondering, about advertising.
And here are all the available tools I used: my hands (obvious, you may think but very useful to draw ^^), Adobe Photoshop, Blogger, Google Analytics, Windows Movie Maker, Dailymotion, Facebook, Twitter, Netvibes, Myebook.
MND isn’t some kind of ego trip: it’s not about becoming famous or whatever… This covering Manga is just a geek’s sincere way of showing his ability to manage an advertising project (including viral videos, blogging, social networking, public relation, etc.) from beginning to end and of finding a job in spite of the crisis, while having a lot of fun.
Concluding words: I truly hope you’ll enjoy Moe’s adventures, as much as I enjoyed giving life to this chubby shrimp ^^.
See you, Mounir. (^^)/
Oops, I forgot! If you’d fancy a chat with me about MND, about a potential position, about advertising in general, or even about Manga and video games: I’d be glad to hear from you! Please:
